Subject: Food, Eating, Identity and Social Relations among Jews in Germany and the Netherlands During the Holocaust

Supervisor:  Prof. Amos Goldberg

Abstract: The purpose of my research is to examine the role of food in the everyday lives of Jews in Germany and the Netherlands during the Holocaust. The study of everyday life and food policy in Nazi Germany and the Netherlands has been well-established, but no study has specifically focused on the role of food in the lives of Jews in these countries during the Holocaust. My research aims to fill this gap and provide new insights into the experiences of Jews during this period.

Bio: I am a graduate of the "Revivim" program at the Hebrew University. My BA was in Bible Studies and my MA in Jewish History. In my MA thesis, I focused on the marking of the Jews during the Holocaust from different perspectives. I'm also a high school teacher for Tanach and History.
