The purpose of the program is to train the academic and educational leadership of the next generation in the humanities. Excelling doctoral students are invited to conduct their research in a challenging and friendly environment which encourages cooperation amongst themselves as well as with experienced scholars residing in the Mandel school.
Doctoral students are given a four-year stipend and an office in the Mandel building. They are also provided with a financial base that will allow them to organize conferences and workshops, research proposals and educational initiatives, as well as funding for short-term and long-term travels abroad. Also included are special academic and social activities – lectures, workshops, study groups and academic trips.
