Subject: Parody and Parodization in Medieval and Early-Modern Hebrew Prose.
Advisor: Dr. David Rotman.
Abstract: In my P.H.D research I aim to discuss parody as a historic literary device which developed Hebrew prose from the medieval period onwards. My M.A. dissertation limited me to discuss only two versions of Hebrew compilations: Pirke De-Rabbi Eliezer and Midrash of the Ten Commandments. In my future research, I wish to analyze other important medieval Hebrew literary works. Furthermore, I will broaden my discussion to other geographical, historical and cultural contexts.
