Abstract: A comprehensive study on the development of the writing of commentaries on the Talmud (and Hilchot ha-Fif) during the Middle Ages in North Africa and Egypt, while reconstructing lost commentaries from the Cairo Genizah
Bio: My research is focused on the rabbinical literature in the Middle Ages in print editions, manuscripts and Genizah fragments. I completed with honors a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in the Department of Talmud and Halacha at the Hebrew University. The topic of the master's thesis: The Collections of R. Isaac Alfasi's Responsa in Print Editions and Manuscripts, under the supervision of Prof. Simcha Emanuel. I intend to write a doctoral thesis on the history of commentaries on the Talmud in North Africa and Egypt in the Middle Ages, also under the supervision of Prof. Emanuel.
