Subject: Jewish BIblical Exegesis in Jerome's Works

Supervisor: Prof. Maren R. Niehoff & Prof. Yitzhak Hen

Abstract:  In my doctoral dissertation I'll focus on St. Jerome's works as a key for understanding the multicultural society in Late Antiquity Palestine. The core of my research will be the attempt to uncover the Jewish interpretive richness that found in the writings of Jerome, along with tracing the ways in which Jerome, a christian monk, could have get acquainted to the Jewish exegesis.

Bio: I am a PhD student at the Department of Jewish History. I completed my B.A. (Jewish thought and General History) and M.A. (Jewish History) degrees at the Hebrew University. I am interested in general and Jewish history, with special emphasis on Ancient and Late Antiquity History.
