Subject: Christian motifs in Israeli art.

Bio: As part of my research, I aim to examine how Christian ideas and motifs are represented in Israeli art, particularly the theme of suffering. Many Israeli artists have incorporated iconographies and concepts derived from Christian religious art into their work. I wish to analyze pieces that relate to the suffering of Jesus and suffering in its Christian context, and to explore how these motifs are connected to the depiction of personal and national pain in Israeli art. between the two.
