Subject: Hebrew medieval folk literature.

Abstract: My research will examine medieval Hebrew travel narratives in the context of European travel narratives. I will investigate the mechanisms of the "Jewish traveler" and try to learn through them about Jewish medieval identity and its relations to western thought.
