Visiting Scholars

Jack, Joseph & Morton Mandel School for Advanced Studies in the Humanities encourages the faculty members of the Hebrew University to invite leading professors from abroad to be guest lecturers at the university.

Any scholar at the Hebrew University can initiate the invitation, and it is his responsibility to care for the integration of the guest for the duration of his stay, regarding his teaching and research activity in the faculty.

Visiting scholars are invited to one of two possible routes: a semester's stay or a month's stay.

They are required to:

-          Teach a 2 HU credits seminar

-           Give a public lecture

-           Establish his or her research activity in an assigned office in the Mandel building.
