I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago Divinity School. My studies center around the question of language and the role it played in the development of Jewish thought and especially early Hasidism. More specifically, I am interested in the emergence of linguistic modalities–ordinary versus revelatory–in Kabbalistic traditions and early Hasidism. While focusing on these traditions, my study is also concerned with Rabbinic literature, as well as later modern thought.
