Eligibility to Apply
- What does joining the Mandel School entail after winning a scholarship?

The scholarship winners will join the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School for Advanced Studies in the the Humanities` Ph.D honors program. For more information about the program and its terms and requirements, click here.
- Can I apply for the Azrieli scholarship two years in a row?

You can only apply for the Azrieli Scholarship once.
- Can i apply for the Azrieli Scholarship in the last year of master's studies?

The Azrieli Scholarship is intended for doctoral students in Stage B. Doctoral students who meet the time frame specified in the call for applications are eligible to apply. It is recommended to review it to check eligibility.

Should the list of publications and conferences be included in both the tables on the registration form and in the academic resume?

GPA
- Is the GPA a figure that the university provides?

The GPA is your official average for degrees according to the official eligibility certificates the university produces.
Research Proposal
- When it is written in the terms that the research proposal must be submitted by a certain date, is the date regarding the Research Student Authority or the supervising committee?

The date is regarding to the authority for research students.
- Does the research proposal we need to attach have to be in English?

All submitted documents must be in English. If the proposal is written entirely in Hebrew, an English summary of the proposal must be attached to the first page of the research proposal, which is in Hebrew.
- I plan to submit the research proposal after the deadline for applying for a scholarship but within the time frame allowed by the foundation - what should I include in the proposal submission confirmation?

If you submit it after the scholarship website has closed, you must attach a signed statement of intent to submit by the permitted date instead of confirming the submission proposal.
- I submitted a proposal but it has not yet been approved and I have not yet received confirmation of moving on to stage B - do I simply need to attach a photocopy of the email confirming submission of the proposal?

Confirmation of the proposal submission must be attached if the proposal is not approved and the transition to stage B is not received by the submission closing date.
Azrieli Form
- On the Azrieli Foundation form, I am asked to attach all sorts of documents. Do I have to upload all the documents to the university's scholarship website?

Yes, there is a tab on the scholarship website for uploading all documents. Please note which documents you are asked to upload separately and which documents you are asked to include in the form.
- Azrieli's application form has several questions about my hobbies, background, etc. Should I answer them on the form itself or attach the answers in a separate document?

The answers to the questions in the body of the form must be filled out and, when submitting the form itself, the various questions they request, along with all accompanying documents, must be combined into one large PDF file in the order requested by them

Matching
- Who is meant to commit to the matching?

It is recommended to contact the supervisor(s) and consult with them regarding the source of the matching. Matching is usually funded by the supervisor/department/institute.
Recommendations
- Do the recommenders have to be members of the doctoral committee?

You must act according to the foundation's instructions on the form and, of course, according to your own discretion.
- Who should we write as the recipient of the recommendation letter?
