Abstract: A comparative study of autobiographical writing by women in Yiddish-speaking traditional Jewish communities, using an interdisciplinary approach (literary, historical, sociological, and psychological) to examine two texts: "Unorthodox" by Deborah Feldman and "The Memoirs of Glückel of Hameln". The research will explore writing as a therapeutic tool and as an act of female resistance, with a focus on writer–reader dynamics and the cultural and linguistic influence of Yiddish.
